Description
Planning and teaching nonfiction text structure will be greatly simplified when you use this resource to introduce the five common nonfiction text structures: description, compare/contrast, problem/solution, cause & effect, and sequence (including chronological). Understanding text structure when reading is key to comprehension. The added bonus is that when you use this resource, you will easily be able to show students how to approach text structure from a reader's perspective AND a writer's perspective.
UPDATE (4/2020): I've added a digital file to reduce your remote teaching prep work by providing Google Drive versions of every part of the unit.
The slide presentation includes 40 animated slides. It corresponds with the guided notes that come in 2D notes AND folding note versions. BOTH are interactive!
