Thanksgiving Dinner Multiplication Practice- 3's, 4's, 6's, and 8's

Students will pretend they are planning a thanksgiving meal. They will receive a budget (you choose the amount!) and a Dinner menu with the prices and serving sizes. Their task is to "order" their family thanksgiving essentials while staying within budget. Practicing multiplication, addition, comparing costs, and decision-making.

Learning Targets

  • Use multiplication to find the total cost of multiple items. (e.g. 3 cans of corn x $2 =$6)
  • Use addition to calculate the total shopping cost.
  • Compare prices and make decisions based on a set budget.
  • Practice responsibility and financial literacy.
