Plan Thanksgiving Dinner with this Math PBL specifically designed for early elementary.
This math project based learning task was specifically designed to be an introduction to PBL tasks perfect for Kindergarten, First Grade and Second Grade.
Give your students real-world application with math by having them plan their own Thanksgiving dinner this year! Work on reviewing and practicing applying addition and subtraction skills as your students complete this Thanksgiving PBL.
Students can choose their main course, side dishes, drinks, dessert, and decor they want to make their Thanksgiving dinner unique while sticking to a $25 dollar budget. Once students complete the task using the brainstorming page and the budget tracker page, expand this assignment by having students create their menu board as well as drawing what their Thanksgiving plate will look like. This would make the perfect bulletin board or hallway display.
