Description

Looking for an enriching real-world Thanksgiving math project for your students to work through this November? With this 4th, 5th & 6th grade Thanksgiving Math Project, students will get to use their math skills to plan all of the details of their family’s Thanksgiving festivities. As they work through these math worksheets, students will apply a variety of key math skills to solve fun real-world, Thanksgiving-themed scenarios.

Students will have a blast determining travel plans, planning for their shopping trip, purchasing food for Thanksgiving dinner, calculating what time each dish should be cooked, making the pumpkin pie, and more as they complete these Thanksgiving math worksheets.  Every decision they make throughout this project requires solving real-world math problems.

Plus, this Thanksgiving Math Project is DIFFERENTIATED to meet the needs of your students. A ‘basic’ version and an ‘advanced’ version of these math worksheets are included. While most activities are the same, the main difference is that the advanced version includes decimals and decimal operations (particularly with money). The basic version is ideal for 4th grade, while the advanced version is ideal for 5th and 6th grade.

Included with this 4th, 5th & 6th Grade Thanksgiving Math Project:

✅ Instructions for use

✅ Basic project packet (27 pages of math activities)

✅ Advanced project packet (27 pages of math activities)

✅ Answer keys (for problems that have only one possible answer)

✅ Also includes a DIGITAL VERSION: you’ll get Google Slides links to use for the basic and advanced projects

Reasons to LOVE this real-world math project:

❤️ Students will use a wide variety of math skills to work through all of the Thanksgiving-themed tasks.

Students enjoyed working with a partner on the activities leading up to break. It was long so difficult for IEP students and students that are working on stamina, but still a well made resource for the right group.
