Thanksgiving pattern blocks templates are the perfect themed STEM math center for your preschool or kindergarten classroom. Students create a picture and then count how many of each pattern block shape are included in the picture. Includes 7 different puzzles (barn, corn, turkey, dinner plate, turkey dinner, pumpkin, cornucopia).

Different versions of the same pictures to allow for differentiation:

  • colored pattern blocks for students to match,
  • no lines to challenge students to find their own pattern blocks to create the pictures.
  • black and white version for students to color in the shapes as they roll
  • small task cards that are not to scale but easy for storage

Also includes a recording sheet focusing on counting, addition and comparing numbers.

These work great for a class party activity, morning work, math centers, or early finishers.

My students were engaged in this fun activity as part of our STEM day. They had to problem solve and found many ways to create the shapes.
