This file was created to give my students the much needed extra practice in solving multi-step word problems that is a crucial skill to learn in 3rd grade. There are 20 different word problems all varying in the four operations of application (addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division). Because the Common Core states that students must be able to solve these problems using pictures, words, and numbers, I have created a box for each on every word problem, so the students will follow the expectation. The student practice/assessment pages are simple for ease of printing and more focus on the students' part while solving the problems.

I am super excited about this file and I hope you find it just as exciting. It will take a lot of practice before my students reach mastery, but this is certainly a fun way to practice with real-life situations. These practice pages/assessments will also determine further discussion needed during daily Number Talks discussions and application.
