Thanksgiving Plate Pronoun Practice | Expressive and Receptive Language Games

Students will follow directions, listen carefully, describe, and label as they build Thanksgiving plates for four different characters. Perfect for mixed groups, preschool, and early elementary speech therapy sessions.

Game 2: Receptive Language - Students follow verbal directions to place food on empty plates.
- Empty character plate mats
- Full-color food manipulatives (16 items: turey, mashed potatoes, pie, corn, etc.)
- Targets following directions, auditory processing, and spatial concepts (next to, under, between, on top of)

How to Use:
- Game 1: Students look at the completed plates and describe what each character has (“She has pie and corn.”).
- Game 2: One player or clinician gives verbal directions (“He wants turkey on his plate”). The listener follows and builds the plate.
- Compare and discuss for accuracy. Switch roles and repeat!
Use laminated pieces with Velcro dots for reusable play or print-and-cut versions for small-group sessions.
