This resource was such a lifesaver during that wonderfully chaotic half week before Thanksgiving break when the kids are mentally already eating pie! ? We’ve been focusing heavily on text structures as one of our essential standards, and I’ve been trying to sneak it into absolutely EVERYTHING lately. This was the perfect way to do that without it feeling repetitive or boring. My students genuinely enjoyed the craftivity and activities, stayed engaged, and actually had fun practicing a skill that can sometimes feel tricky. The combination of text features, text structures, and hands-on learning was such a win. It was easy to prep, easy to use, and made me feel like I had my life together that week... which is honestly the highest compliment a teacher can give in November! Highly recommend for upper elementary classrooms!

My class loved collaborating on the plate craftivity. The hints were challenging but got them thinking critically about text features.

This was a great resource for reviewing text features! I thought it was helpful to let students use a "cheat sheet" of text feature definition and examples!
