Description

The 1619 Project is an award-winning series of essays published by the New York Times which reframes American History in light of slavery and the legacy of slavery. It is a free curriculum available at the Pulitzer Center.

This digital interactive notebook covers the first part of the 1619 Project and is a companion to the 1619 Project essays. This digital interactive notebook covers many of the key words and definitions found in the 1619 Project Reading Guide. This digital interactive notebook provides links to other history websites which corroborate many of the historical facts detailed in The 1619 Project and provide further historical context to the topics covered. Students are able to independently research the various topics as well as provide their thoughts and responses in both written and visual (recorded video) form.
