My students like self-correcting activities and this one fit the bill! It encourages them to work together as well as independently.

Great online resource to help assess basic knowledge in plotting and labeling coordinates! It has good visuals and the questions are clear. I also LOVE that it is editable and self-grading! I have been using Google forms all year since our district is in a virtual setting. By the end of the semester, I got really tired of creating all the content myself. I am excited to find pre-made forms by other teachers on TPT. I have only tested this form out with my own kids at home and it was great, but plan to use it in the classroom at some point this semester!

Use a pair of perpendicular number lines, called axes, to define a coordinate system, with the intersection of the lines (the origin) arranged to coincide with the 0 on each line and a given point in the plane located by using an ordered pair of numbers, called its coordinates. Understand that the first number indicates how far to travel from the origin in the direction of one axis, and the second number indicates how far to travel in the direction of the second axis, with the convention that the names of the two axes and the coordinates correspond (e.g., 𝘹-axis and 𝘹-coordinate, 𝘺-axis and 𝘺-coordinate).
