Description

This maybe my best project as it combines so many factors. I love helping students learn communication skills, collaboration, and leadership. Leadership skills are not being taught as much anymore and we can see the lack of leadership skills all around us and how negatively that impacts our world. Your students will love this project as they work together in developing a restaurant in the Entrepreneur Season 1. And if time, Season 2 of the Entrepreneur allows students to develop their own business. This is great for general populations and gifted students. I have had both groups do this and always a lot to teach as they are put into real-life scenarios.

There is so much to this project and I do not want to give too much away (I may have already), but your students will develop presentation skills, business skills, leadership skills, communication skills, and how to stand out to make their work stand out positively. Students gain so many real-life skills and it is a shame it is hard to find the time to do more projects like this. As far as duration, I think my video clears it up, but you probably need around 10 days with a good hour each day to allow students time to do this well and practice all their presentations. This is so worth doing and even the other classes that are able to view the presentations will really enjoy this too as I have experienced.

The resources are also in the bonus section of my book, "Basic Sentences to Essays: A Quick & Easy Step-By-Step Guide to Teach Students to Write Well" which is here in my Teachers Pay Teachers store. It is an exceptional resource compiling my clear, unique, and effective practices at helping students, even at the lowest levels of writing, quickly learn to write at proficient and advanced levels. I recommend taking a look at this resource. I have worked with many ELLs and students below grade level, even those at higher grade levels who were really behind. My strategies and methods caught these students up swiftly, and I have had outstanding state test results at under-performing schools.

I have worked very hard to develop these unique strategies that will save teachers a lot of time and effort and greatly benefit your students, plus the profits I make from TPT are helping me start my own school for under-served students in Los Angeles: Generations Legacy.
