These episode companions work perfectly with science lessons across several grades. They work well to keep students accountable, paying attention to the videos, and help highlight key ideas.
I would recommend using them alongside current lessons, though they work wonderfully for days with a sub! Many episodes work well with both Common Core Standards and Georgia Performance Science Standards.
By creating a variety of formats for you, I hope it will give you the ability to choose a structure that works best for your style and specific students. The option with the word box is a small way to differentiate as well. The discussion questions are meant as a jumping off point for your class discussion of the topics addressed, have fun!

Great companion to the episode!
This resource was a great activity to do after watching the "Inside Ralphie" Magic School Bus episode. Students are currently expected to follow many new routines due to COVID and so we are taking the time to teach lessons about germs, This was very helpful in doing so.
This helped the students stay focused during the video.
Kept the interest of students who get bored after 5 minutes of a movie. The magic school bus movies are always a hit. Used this resource for our first day of school closing for the virus.
Kids always enjoy a video. This takes it further in the learning steps. However, on the multiply choice quiz, question 7 the students found "hungry blood cells" instead of "white blood cells". The answer key says white blood cells.
