Description

Math Read aloud project based on the book, "The Math Curse" by Jon Scieszka.

Students listen to a story about a student who goes through their day and night engulf3ed by everything math. "Everything is a math problem".

Challenge students to “break the math curse” by writing their own stories featuring themselves going through their everyday lives solving Real World Math Problems.

Students will:

- Brainstorm ideas about how they interact/encounter math

- write mini-stories

- pose questions to the reader

- and develop solutions

File includes a student facing checklist all project components and a Rubric for grading the project (grading scale 0-4).
