Description
This is a guideline students can use to develop a PowerPoint Project following their reading of Steinbeck's The Pearl. Students are asked to individually brainstorm twelve images the come to mind as they think back on the story. After jotting these down, students will use this list as a guide to find twelve internet pictures that would be good graphic representations of their twelve items (pearl, hut, canoe, etc.). Students will then use these twelve pictures to create a PowerPoint in which they add 2-3 sentences to each image in order to create a synopsis of the story. A rubric is also included. Teachers may or may not have students create a bibliography for the pictures. Instructions for this are not included in the project so that teachers can be flexible in adding this piece if they wish.
