These staggered-style planet-shaped booklets are a fun and engaging activity for your students as they learn about astronomy. Students fill out information pertaining to the following:
◑ Rotation & Revolution
◑ Size, Climate and Distance
◑ Moons & Features
They are easy to fill in and depending on the age level you teach and your standards you can have your students simply circle answers, place a check mark OR have them fill in with percentages (atmosphere). There is also room to have them provide more information pertaining to certain other things such as gravity. (Take a look at the paperless digital version of this product here.)
Two versions are included: one with only the planet as a background and one with the planet and the Greek god for whom the planet was named after. Note: there is only version for Earth as it is the only planet not named after a character from mythology. The booklets measure approximately 6 inches across.
I designed this specifically with our 5th grade science teacher in mind after she loved the cool looking ones I created for music class as well as my listening glyphs. The glyphs are for the classical music, The Planets (written by Gustav Holst) - a great accompaniment to your science program.
