Description

This is a summary of the plot in 15 bullet points. The bullet points / sentences which give the summary of events are not presented in the proper sequence. Students are asked to number each event in the correct order 1 - 15. This activity could be used for the movie or the novel.

Students who complete this task will have a good understanding of the plot and they will also have a summary that they have (semi-)created themselves. Instead of just presenting them with notes on the movie/novel, they are actively learning by creating their own.

It looks easy, but this can be quite challenging. This activity is an excellent group work activity. Students practice team work, speaking, and (hopefully!) listening skills.

Writing out their answers is a secondary re-enforcing task that could be assigned as homework.

This is a Word document, so you can edit it to suit your class.

The solution is included.
