Description
Thank you for purchasing! Who doesn’t love a rollercoaster?! The Rounding Rollercoaster is a great way to have students practice the skill of rounding. In order to use The Rounding Rollercoaster, the game board must first be made. The boards were them laminated so the students could use them to play the game. Students took turns giving their partners a number to use for rounding. We began rounding by tens and then continued to play with hundreds and thousands. The students would write the number on the board using dry erase markers. They would then draw the arrow pointing in the correct direction. If you would prefer, students could also use sticky notes to write and then move the number! The kids enjoyed assigning the numbers and rounding with their classmates! They also loved taking turns playing on their personal gameboards. You have options! You can: Print one of the basic boards on the following pages (2 - 4) and have the students decorate. Show students the model and then have them create their own rollercoaster, picking their own theme! Use dry erase markers or sticky notes to move the numbers up and down the board!
