This Theme Mini Lesson was a great resource for helping middle school students understand and apply the concept of theme in literature. The notes were straightforward and easy for students to follow, and the application activity gave them a chance to practice identifying themes in a meaningful way. My students responded well to the structure, and it helped break down a sometimes tricky concept into something more approachable. It worked well for whole-group instruction, guided practice, and independent work. A solid, no-prep resource that supports strong reading comprehension skills!

I left this for a substitute to use. Both the class ans sub enjoyed it. The class had some great practice with theme, which can be hard to grasp.
