This product includes 20 extension projects for 5th grade math. The projects are suitable for advanced learners, early finishers, or small groups who are ready for a chance to be creative with 5th grade math standards. The project could be created individually, in pairs, or in small groups over several days. Five bonus extension projects are included for prerequisite skills I find helpful to review to support 5th grade math success: 4th grade multiplication, subtraction with regrouping, area and perimeter, equivalent fractions/simplifying fractions, and converting mixed numbers and improper fractions. I have organized the 5th grade math projects to align with NC Check Ins, but they could be completed in a different order to suit student and classroom needs. No answer key is provided since these are open-ended projects, but each project does have a student checklist.
