Description

summer math packet, CCSS Math, 3rd Grade, 60 Days of CCSS Math Review, summer school math, summer math tutoring

Are you looking for a product that will help a third grader entering fourth grade avoid the summer slide? Look no further! This product can be used in so many ways, and was created with versatility in mind, especially for students who are at the end of their third grade school year. This product, regardless of how you choose to use it, is intended to be a culminating review of the third grade CCSS math concepts, but could be used as a challenge for any second grader moving up to the third grade, or as a review for any grade above third.

Do you need something to keep your third graders busy at the end of the school year?

Use the 60 task cards to create a fun math center, assign the 10 worksheets as a packet organized by standard, or even use the worksheets as mini-assessments after reviewing previously taught standards.

Are you teaching summer school?

Use the 60 task cards as a math center, or assign the 10 worksheets as a packet to review previously third grade math standards.

Are you assigning your students extra math practice for summer vacation?

Use the 60-Day math packet (one problem per day) to provide students with a spiraled review of third grade math standards throughout the summer.

Are you tutoring a student that is going into fourth grade?

Use the 10 worksheets or 60 task cards to review third grade math standards.

About this product:

What will I receive with my purchase?

*60+ CCSS Math problems, to use three different ways!*

--60 task cards, recording sheet for answers, answer key

--10 worksheets, with answer keys

--60-Day Review Packet (30 pages), and answer key

What standards are addressed?

Common Core State Standards for third grade were used to create the questions, and since I teach in Florida, I also included the MAFS as a focus. The two sets of standards cover the same skills.

How are the standards organized?

Most standards are repeated twice within the 60 questions. Some standards had to be combined with others so that they could be addressed within the 60 questions.

Why do the task cards, packet, and the worksheets have the same problems?

They are the same problems because I wanted to give you versatility with the same content. The packet and the task cards are organized similarly, however, the worksheets are organized by domains and standards. Because the worksheets are organized this way, you could even use them throughout the school year to assess standards mastery. There is a cover sheet included with the worksheets so you can also assign them as a review packet that is organized by domains and standards, rather than by day. Also, because I wanted each worksheet to be 6-8 questions, there is one worksheet that has bonus questions that were not part of the task cards or the 60-Day Review Packet. This means that there are really more than just 60 problems if utilizing the worksheets.

What prep does this product require before use?

This product is easy to use, and needs no prep other than printing and cutting your task cards apart. Just click print and everything in here is ready to go! Also, the task cards, packet, cover sheets, and worksheets are all in black and white, so as not to use a tremendous amount of ink.

This was absolutely perfect for reviewing all the third grade math skills. There was a variety of questions and the grouping of the problems by skill was perfect. Thanks for creating this!

Tell and write time to the nearest minute and measure time intervals in minutes. Solve word problems involving addition and subtraction of time intervals in minutes, e.g., by representing the problem on a number line diagram.
Measure and estimate liquid volumes and masses of objects using standard units of grams (g), kilograms (kg), and liters (l). Add, subtract, multiply, or divide to solve one-step word problems involving masses or volumes that are given in the same units, e.g., by using drawings (such as a beaker with a measurement scale) to represent the problem.
Draw a scaled picture graph and a scaled bar graph to represent a data set with several categories. Solve one- and two-step “how many more” and “how many less” problems using information presented in scaled bar graphs. For example, draw a bar graph in which each square in the bar graph might represent 5 pets.
