Description

Need a way to apply some distributive practice or review to three-digit addition and subtraction, with and without regrouping? These 4 sets of math addition and subtraction cards can be used for just that; but they are done in fun ways—an interesting alternative to traditional skill and drill worksheets that serve to supplement your regular math curriculum. The tasks are intended for use in reinforcing the standard algorithm, once the concepts of multiple digit addition and subtraction have been taught and are firmly in place. The sets offer computation practice and one-step word problem practice with a variety of questioning types.

You may set the tasks up as a game of “Scoot” or “Read the Room” or simply matching to answer cards as a center or station work task. Answer keys are provided to save you time and energy.

Additionally, there are two cute games to use the cards in yet other ways. The addition tasks have a robot theme and the subtraction tasks have a building blocks set theme to help with organization. Of course, you could mix the cards to create even more challenges.

The offering of manipulatives and a place value mat for working are another way to differentiate. Once copied, laminated, and cut apart these are ready for use year after year. Student friendly “I Can” labels are included. You won’t want to miss out on these fun practice or assessment tasks for your mathematicians!

Thanks so much for your purchase and time to return to share how this worked in your setting. Hoping this school year is treating you well and it will become one of your best ever, if not the most memorable. Pam
