Description
This activity is to help students practice their skills with adding and subtracting integers. The goal is to get three problems correct, in a row, as if playing tic tac toe. The way I played with my students is they were to work out one problem at a time. If they answered their problem correctly with correct mathematical procedures, then they got to color in that particular square. However, if they did not get the problem correct or showed improper mathematical procedures, then I marked the square with my initials.
Students enjoyed this activity because they got to work together and socialize allowing them to learn different methods from their peers.
