Time Machine Narrative Essay Prompts - Ancient Civilizations: This package includes narrative writing prompts that have the students creatively write about the ancient civilizations they have learned about as if they took a time machine to each place and experienced the civilizations firsthand. Along with the prompts, there are rubrics for each, and PowerPoint presentations that teach students how to create "artifacts" from each civilization. At the end of the year, students can assemble their essays and artifacts to create a writing portfolio/book.The essays can also be used to assess writing and what the students have learned in social studies.

Civilizations include Early Humans, Ancient Mesopotamia, Ancient Egypt, Ancient China, Ancient India, Ancient Greece, and Ancient Rome.
