Description
During a Native American unit, students learn about the life and traditions of the Tlingit (pronounced "clingit") Native Americans that lived in the Northwestern part of North America (Alaska).
Extension activity: Using di-cut animals and paper towel rolls, students can make their own Totem Poles, like the Tlingit Indians. Each animal on the Totem Pole represents a family trait. Your students will love this activity!
