Tool sounds are great way to teach students tricky sounds, common blends and digraphs with matching pictures. Use them however you want, but here are some of the ways I use them in my class.

-introduce a tool sound and brainstorm words with the class

-have students glue the tool sound in a notebook and either copy the brainstorming we did as a class, or have them think of their own

-have students read a paragraph or a morning message and find the tool sounds
