Description

The toothpick bridge building STEM project has a new spin. This resource includes a 30 page google document that can be edited for your classroom needs.Students form engineering groups and assign the following jobs: accountant, project manager, architect, and carpenter. Groups must work within the design constraints, including maintaining a budget. Classroom materials are minimal per group including: 500 toothpicks, small cup of wood glue, waxed paper, & graph paper. This is a highly motivational project that addresses the NGSS engineering standards at a variety of grade levels. Teachers will enjoy opening the Truss R' Us lumberyard daily.
