Description

This is a fun modification to the typical toothpick bridge project. For this project students will be assigned to groups and have one week to build their bridge in class only.

The bridge building process is made more realistic by giving students a budget to stick to (prices for supplies as well as fines they may incur are listed on the handout). Students will also be subjected to a daily special event that may help or hinder their bridge building process. The events I used in my class are provided, but of course anything can be changed.

My own grading rubric is also included.

I edited it to make it fit my classroom better but this is an amazing project to do with my students! They had so much un and everyone in the school was walking around to see how it was going! Everyone loved this assignment including office staff and parents!
