This packet is a fun way to engage in lines and curves as all letters and numbers formation are created with this very fundamental fact. The benefit of this is that it provides a way for your student to practice their fine motor skills by tracing and cutting (using the pages with half of the shape missing). I have purposefully use different color for each line so that students can also practice color recognition on top of the many other benefits this activity provides. As an extension activity, after the shapes are cut out, challenge students to create something using those pieces. Examples can be octopus, suns and ocean waves, etc. Let their imagination run free!
