Description
Traditional-style painting demonstrates the values and unique approach of Chinese culture. This product guides students’ exploration of traditional Chinese painting while maximizing their engagement through hands-on and fun activities.
The activities are organized around a “countdown” pattern, starting with a handful of short responses in the first activity and methodically decreasing the number and increasing the depth of the responses in later activities. As a high school teacher, I noticed my students spend hours watching YouTube videos, so I used this and other technological platforms to help them explore the lesson topic.

How to use:
- You can use the collection of activities as a mini independent research project. This product begins by asking students to think about what they know and what they don’t know about the topic and uses this as a starting point for their learning.
- The students can also work together in pairs to answer their questions and share their answers.
- The students can present their work on big posters in a gallery walk or traditionally in front of the class.
- You can assign this packet as home learning material.
