Fun Break for Accelerated Instruction
Rated 5 out of 5

Great value

This was such a fun activity for my accelerated instruction group. With students taking two math classes a day, this project was a perfect spring‑break reset. Even as a social studies teacher helping out in math, I found it easy to use, and my kids loved working together and creating something colorful. It was engaging, creative, and a great way to reinforce transformations without adding stress.

Directions need to be a little more clear, so students aren't just making a big box and labeling every point along the sides.

I used this as an assessment for our unit on transformations and my students really like the creative aspect. They made unique images and then were able to engage in the mathematical aspect.

I LOVED THIS PROJECT!!! I always aim to do a project of some sort with my advanced and GT classes, and this could not have been more perfect! I love giving them outlets to be creative and integrate math and art! This was the perfect way to apply their understanding of transformations!!!

I used this at the end of the semester, having students create an image based on the movie we were watching. The layout and structure of this project made it easy for most students to follow. Will definitely use again!
