This is a set of notes meant to teach the concept of the transformations created by Dilations.
Included in this product your will find:
A set of teacher notes that covers:

****** what are the properties of a dilation
****** how to complete dilations in the coordinate plane --- I have included both ways: How to find a dilation given the coordinates and scale factor and how to find the scale factor given the preimage and image already graphed. This includes labeled diagrams and examples that with a complete answer key
A set of student notes that match the teacher notes so that your students may follow along and annotate as you teach.
A homework assignment that has the students:
*** working through find the image given the measure of the preimage and scale factor or finding the preimage given the measure of the image and the scale factor.

Good resource!
There are mistakes in Part Three of this activity. It's a shame because the rest of it is pretty good!
I was very disappointed when I realized that your Part 3 problems were wrong. Almost all of them are not similar figures, they are not truly dilated. On your notes sheet the numbers at the bottom don't work, slightly off. I am going to have to find another practice worksheet for them to use after paying $4.00 for this.
