Need your complete geometric transformations unit math notes made for you? Print and go with this full unit of transformations unit guided math notes plus practice worksheets. This resource has two pages of scaffolded notes plus two student practice pages for each type of transformation on the coordinate plane. The practice can be used to differentiate or use one as classwork and one as homework or use one as a part of your unit review.

Designed for TEKS 8.10A-D, this resource can support CCSS.8.G.A.1 and 8.G.A.3.

In this 16 page TEKS aligned resource, for each transformation students will

  • graph on the coordinate plane
  • represent rules algebraically
  • determine characteristics of preservation

Specifically it includes:

  • Dilations (with the origin as the center of dilation)
  • Translations
  • Reflections (across the x- and y-axis)
  • Rotations (90, 180, 270 and 360 degrees clockwise and counterclockwise with the origin as the center of rotation)
