These are great activities if you taught Chapter 2 of the Big Ideas Math Curriculum: Blue Book, but you can definitely use this activity with any curriculum you teach!

Activity Descriptions:
Transformations Unit: Scavenger Hunt:
This activity is a great way to review all of the topics studied in an 8th grade unit on Transformations. This can also be used in a 7th grade accelerated math class studying the topic of Transformations. Students will work around the room, solving the problem at the top of their station, and then finding their answer at a different station around the room. This activity can be done independently or in pairs.
This activity contains 10 problems all starting with the same pre-image of a triangle. The students will need to find the image after it has been translated, reflected, rotated, or dilated. The topics covered are:
1) Translations
2) Reflections
3) Rotations
4) Dilations
This product includes an editable word document along with a pdf copy. The product contains 10 problems, a student recording sheet, directions, and an answer key.
Similar Figure: Individual Game/Partner Practice:
This activity can be used in a variety of ways to differentiate your classroom. If students are working in pairs, they can use the “Partner Self-Checking Practice” worksheet. If a student wants to work independently (or as an early finisher activity), students can play it as an “Individual Memory Game”. The problems are the same between the two activities, they are just provided in two different formats to differentiate your classroom!
