This activity includes:

· Matching cards (page 2, four sets with six problems and answers each)

· Answer key (page 3)

This is a quick activity for students to match word phrases to mathematical phrases. Words that students struggle with were used to create these. All answers include x and 5 in order to cause students to have to really think about what operations are being used in the phrase.
