Description
PSST! This unit is available as part of the Intro to Geometry Bundle.
This unit is focused on classifying triangles by their sides and angles.
There are 28 activities for instruction and practice.
Students will need a ruler to measure side lengths. They will need a set square to check for angles measures.
Unit Goals
- identify the parts of a triangle (sides, angles)
- classify triangles based on the length of their sides
- classify triangles based on the size of their angles
Unit Goals (Advanced)
- apply skills to problem solving
- apply the triangle inequality theorem (students do not need to know this term)
Answer keys are included.
Proficiency scale is included.
More Info
- Included are 7 different exercises, each with 4 versions. That’s 28 activities in all.
- This allows practice over multiple days. It also allows for additional practice when students are struggling with a particular skill.
- Exercises approach the content from multiple angles and gradually increase in difficulty. Assign different exercises for differentiation.
- Great for instructional, practice, and mastery lessons. Can be assigned for morning work, homework, etc.
- Assign problems as needed. You do not need to assign every problem.
