This activity provides a fun and tasty way to review a variety of math skills! Students will use Trix cereal as a manipulative to practice estimation, comparing numbers, addition and subtraction algorithms, and graphing. Depending on the level of your students, this would be a great activity to do at the beginning of the year as a basic review. I did this level activity with my new 3rd graders as a fun activity during the first week of school.

There is little prep for the teacher. You will only need to measure out a 1/4 cup of Trix into a baggie for each student. A small box should give you around 36 baggies.

You many edit this document to fit your needs and level. Sometimes the box of Trix changes flavors, and you may therefore edit flavors easily.
