Description

*I taught this product for the first time this week and it produced one of the best class discussions I’ve had in my 9 years teaching. I hope it works well for you all, too.

Please preview the product before purchase, as well as read all of this product description.

This product is the perfect Google Slides presentation--you can either teach this interactively, where students type directly onto the slides or in presentation mode using notebook paper. There are 32 slides included. You will delete a handful before presentation based on how you choose to teach this in your classroom.

I provide multiple teacher notes in this product, which give you more insight on the product and how to implement it into your true crime unit. These are only visible once you purchase the product.

What is included?

-3 slides with 7 different quick writing prompts on the legal system

-multiple slides on legal terminology, including 31 terms and definitions

-1 slide and video on juror responsibilities

I, personally, teach this product in about 2 days then move on to one of my selected documentaries or podcasts.

If you are looking for more to include in your true crime unit, please look into my other true crime products. One of the most popular is linked below.

Met expectations
Great value
I use this at the start of my psychological thriller and crime stories electives course. I think it is important for students to understand the legal terms behind crimes. I have used this resource time and time again. I would only suggest there be a review for the vocab included... a word search or crossword perhaps?

This is an excellent resource to introduce True Crime to your students with vocabulary and other activities. It is something I will use early in the year to set up my Crime in Lit class.
