Description

This is a non-editable PowerPoint Presentation on the first grade Common Core Math State Standard 1.0A.7. It is meant to be used as a whole class (we do) method. It is useful in looking at different addition and subtraction equations and determining whether or not they are true or false. The presentation includes 10 actual problem-solving equations. I have included an objective and vocabulary slide as well. The equations range from very simple 2+2=4 to more challenging equations such as 4+2=8-2. Each slide also includes the answer for your convenience. My main focus was the number line strategy. Therefore, each slide includes a number line 0-30 to be used with each problem-solving equation. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns regarding the product. Thanks and Enjoy!

I use this resource for my in person and my virtual students to help them understand how equations should be equal on both sides. They were able to use the examples and determine which ones were true and which were false.
