Build up to 2 Digit Addition with Regrouping Sequentially
Follow this sequence to work up to more challenging skills:
- Use tens and ones blocks pictures
- Draw tens and ones blocks
- Use place value
- Use the standard algorithm
Within each of those levels, start with easier numbers and work up to harder numbers:
- double digit to single digit addition without regrouping (23 + 5)
- double digit to single digit addition with regrouping (47 + 8)
- double digit to double digit addition without regrouping (31 + 34)
- double digit to double digit addition with regrouping (58 + 27)
