In this activity, students solve a chain of problems to get to the top of the pyramid. Their goal is to match their final answer with the magic number.

This resource is self-checking and independent. Students can play this game as an independent center, as a small group, individually, or with a partner. If students do not get the magic number as their final answer, they know that they’ve made a mistake and should review and fix their work until they get it right.
