Description

Independent math practice for solving two digit by two digit multiplication problems by solving area of quadrilaterals problems to use as the perfect technology center, online activity, or interactive homework assignment! Assigning this boom deck to your students means you're good to go with an independent practice activity that builds your students' computer and math skills at the same time, while collecting data on each student for you! Boom Cards really are a teacher's best friend.


This deck includes 20 student practice slides. Each of the slides consists of a unique rectangle or square with side lengths of two digit whole numbers. Students will find the area of the shape using learned strategies for multidigit multiplication, such as the standard algorithm or area method, and can show their work on either the included printable page, a whiteboard, or notebook paper. Students enter their final answer into the text boxes, and press enter to check their answer! Because Boom Cards automatically give instant feedback to students, they help students catch their mistakes and force them to pay attention to the details!

What are Boom Cards?

Boom cards are a must-have for any tech-savvy teacher! Essentially, they are self-correcting task cards that allow students to check their answers as they work. There are Boom Card decks for every subject and topic, allowing them to be a constant routine or center in your classroom!


To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with "Fast Pins," (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a premium account.
