Description

Students can practice solving two-step equations using this self-checking digital escape activity for homework, independent practice or group work! As students solve each two-step equation correctly, they'll begin to unlock more questions until they've successfully answered each one correctly.

This resource is...

  • self-checking -- answers unlock the lock when correct and stay locked when incorrect
  • self-grading -- the progress bar increases and the grade percentage adjusts according to student responses
  • no prep -- add to your google drive and you're ready to assign
  • great for small group instruction, independent work, homework, and more!

How this works: Students can view the first three questions. As they answer these questions correctly, the red locked lock will turn green and unlock. For every three questions answered correctly, the next three questions will appear. After all 12 questions have been answered correctly, "mission complete" will appear on the top of the worksheet.

This resource includes two student versions:

  • the first version has questions written in a variety of methods (ex: 9=4x-11 and 5+x/3=2) with the solution on either the left or right side of the equal sign
  • the second student version has the same questions as the first activity written in the form: variable + constant = constant

This resource does not include any examples like: 2(x+3)=9 or (x+4)/7=2

**NOTE: There is another escape activity in my store for solving two step equations. This activity includes DIFFERENT examples and does not contain a riddle at the end.

This resource is intended for use with Google ONLY and will not work with Microsoft.
