Description

This Two-Step Equations pack was built from the ground up for SpEd math instruction. Every page is designed around what case managers and resource teachers actually need: measurable IEP goal language, differentiated practice levels, built-in progress monitoring, and materials your students can actually access.

This pack includes both a full-color version and a black & white (ink-friendly) version in one download — print whichever works best for your classroom.

What's Included (16 pages):

  • ★ Vocabulary Support Sheet — 6 key terms with pronunciation guides and examples
  • ★ Re-Teach Visual — step-by-step anchor chart using the Order of Undoing method for all 4 operations
  • ★ Level 1 — Emerging — 4 trials, positive whole numbers, balance scale scaffold
  • ★ Level 3 — Approaching — 4 trials, larger numbers, all 4 operations, show-your-work format, no hints
  • ★ IEP Goal Progress Tracker — 8-trial data table, Y/N mastery column, notes field
  • ★ Accommodation Suggestions — 11 accommodations with ready-to-copy IEP language
  • ★ IEP Goal Language Sheet — primary goal + 4 variations + full SMART goal check
  • ★ Home Practice Page — 8 problems, worked example, parent answer key
  • ★ Teacher Answer Keys — clean solutions for all trials at both level

How to Use: Copy the IEP goal language directly onto the student's IEP. Select the level that matches where the student is — progression between levels is not required. Administer trials, score with the answer key, and record data on the progress monitoring sheet. Send home practice for family reinforcement.

Who This Is For:

  • Special education teachers and case managers
  • Resource room and co-teaching settings
  • 7th grade and up (aligned to CCSS 7.EE.B.4)
  • Students working toward algebraic reasoning at any pace

Two levels. Eight trials. One complete, ready-to-use pack. No more piecing together materials from five different sources. No more rewriting IEP goals from scratch. This pack gives you everything you need to teach, track, and document progress on two-step equations — all in one download.
