All of the cards have the operations and the answer students need to come up with. For example, one of the cards says "Write ONE word problem using addition AND subtraction where the answer is 3. Use puppy dogs in your question".

These cards encourage students to develop their problem solving and analytical skills.

Some cards are quite challenging so it makes it perfect for differentiation within your classroom.

Use the cards in your numeracy stations, or as a weekly focus question, or for home work tasks. Divide them into their operation sets for a specific focus or keep them together for a random lucky dip!

Once students have written their questions, take those cards and have other students complete them to reinforce the skills.
