Description
2-Step Word Problem BINGO or Task Card Activity
Make practicing two-step word problems fun and engaging with this versatile BINGO or task card activity! Students will solve a variety of real-world word problems that require them to use any combination of the four operations: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Each problem requires students to think carefully about the steps needed to find the correct solution.
This resource can be used in two different ways. You can use the problems as a BINGO game, where students solve word problems and match their answers to numbers on their BINGO boards. As students solve correctly, they mark their boards and work toward completing a row, column, or diagonal.
The same problems can also be used as a task card activity during math centers, small group instruction, partner work, or independent practice. Students read each card, determine the two operations needed, and record their work and answers on a recording sheet.
This activity encourages students to apply problem-solving strategies, identify important information in word problems, and build confidence solving multi-step problems. It’s a fun, flexible way to reinforce critical thinking while giving students meaningful practice with two-step word problems involving all four operations.
MA.3.AR.1.2 Solve one- and two-step real-world problems involving any of four operations with whole numbers.
