Each of these vocabulary sets consists of eight task cards with a vocabulary word in a contextual situation. Three statements follow that relate to the situation. Two of the statements are true and the third is false. Students are expected to identify the “lie” of the three statements on the accountability sheet then write a sentence or two supporting their choice.

Each set also includes two versions of a crossword puzzle. One version has a word bank and the other version has no word bank. An answer key for the puzzle is also included.

A different monster or smiley marks each set. If students mix them up, you will be able to sort them by matching the monster or smiley to the set. You can also print the sets on different color card stock for ease in sorting. I recommend that you laminate them for durability. You may also want to print the accountability sheet on card stock then laminate it. Students can write on it with dry erase markers and self-check their answers. Just seal a paper copy of the answer key in a small envelope for them to open after completing the activity.

This bundle includes all of the vocabulary sets and now contains 35 sets. These are all of the vocabulary words pertinent for 6th grade math in Texas.
