This interactive and collaborative types of forces card sort is perfect for the beginning of any forces and motion unit. It includes 36 cards featuring real-life scenarios of the following forces: applied force, friction, normal force, gravity, tension, spring force, buoyancy, air resistance, magnetic force, and electric force. And, there are two sorting options: 1) sort into 10 different categories of forces, or 2) sort into contact and non-contact forces. This activity is designed to spark class discussions and solidify students understanding.
