My students really struggled once we got into the section on Absolute Value and Algebraic Expressions. I needed a way of teaching them the concept conceptually, not just the standard algorithm way. I created this Powerpoint to use in class to get them past the "process" and to get them to the conceptual understanding of absolute value in the form of x-b=c.
