Understanding chemical formulas is one of the most highly tested chemistry standards on the STAAR, so let’s make sure your students are prepared! This set of flash cards helps students practice and master the skills of determining the number of atoms of an element and the total number of atoms in a compound! EVERY card in the set has a question about a specific element and asks students to count up the total number of atoms. Giving students instant feedback and an explanation of the math will help all of your students obtain mastery. Includes cards with elements listed more than once within the formula and formulas that contain parentheses! These cards work great as a bellringer activity or for use during interventions and reviews!
