This bundle will give your students multiple opportunities for practice and understanding of fractions. There are 3 ways to learn: power point/google slides, worksheets, boom cards.

Common Core:

3.G.A2-Partition shapes into parts with equal areas. Express the area of each part as a unit fraction of the whole. For example, partition a shape into 4 parts with equal area, and describe the area of each part as 1/4 of the area of the shape.

3.NF.A1-Understand a fraction 1/ as the quantity formed by 1 part when a whole is partitioned into equal parts; understand a fraction / as the quantity formed by parts of size 1/.

Topics covered in the slide show go with the worksheets in this zip file.

  • The first slides introduce the concept of what a fraction is.
  • Then understanding vocabulary such as numerator, denominator, fraction, halves, thirds, fourths, sixths, and eighths.
  • Sorting activity that can be done as a class
  • Then identifying fractions using fraction bars.

There are 7 worksheets with answer keys provided for you in this product. The skills covered are listed below:
